Greyabbey is named after the Cistercian Abbey founded here in 1193 of which substantial remains can still be viewed today. The village is also well known for its large number of Antique Shops specialising in various types of craft, antiques and memorabilia from the past. After which a refreshing pint of Guinness or a sample of one of the many Irish Whiskeys may be enjoyed in the Wildfowler Inn.
