The peninsula is best toured by car or on foot, either way allow yourself plenty of time in order to soak up the atmosphere of this area. Here you will find archaeological remains from Iron Age Stone Forts to Christian oratories such as Gallarus Oratory built between the 6th and 9th centuries along with beehive huts all set against the backdrop of quite fishing villages and genteel towns.
