Selecton of Southern Irish
Banknotes |
|
| The following Pictures display 5, 10 , 20
and 50 Punt Notes as currently used in the Southern Ireland. (The
north of Ireland uses United Kingdom Sterling Pounds and variations of
Northern Ireland Bank notes) Although they are reproduced smaller
that actual size here they are to scale and you may notice the
increasing size with the value of the note i.e. 5 punt being the
smallest note and 50 punt being the largest in these examples. Until
recently a 1 Punt note was also in circulation this however is no longer
used being replaced with a 1 Punt Coin. |
